TRANSCRIPT
Okay friends, welcome back to the podcast. Today’s episode is going to be a little bit different — because I want to share something with you that I’ve been creating behind the scenes.
But first, I want to start with something that so beautifully highlights the theme of today’s episode.
The redwood trees in California are some of the tallest in the world — hundreds of feet high. But what’s amazing is that their roots aren’t deep at all. They’re actually quite shallow. What keeps them standing strong isn’t their depth — it’s their connection. Their roots intertwine with the trees around them, creating this powerful underground network. When the wind blows or a storm comes, they hold each other up.
I love that image, because it reminds me — we were never meant to stand alone.
So many of us are trying to do just that. We’re trying to hold everything together on our own. But real strength doesn’t come from isolation. It comes from connection.
And that’s what today’s episode is about — getting the help you need, and why it matters.
Because asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness. It’s an act of courage. It’s saying, “I wasn’t meant to do this by myself.”
Which leads me into what I’ve been creating behind the scenes. You may have heard me mention it in the past couple of episodes, but in case you missed it I’m going to talk about it again today, and get into a little bit more detail as to why I created it and how it can help you.
I got this idea because it’s something that I needed once, and I know so many of us are in that same place now.
I am talking about email coaching — what it is, why I created it, who it’s for, and the real, human reasons why support can feel so hard to ask for.
And I just want to say this up front:
This is not about convincing you.
This is not about selling you anything, I mean it’s free anyway.
But this is about offering something that may honestly be the thing someone listening today has been quietly needing.
I want to start by sharing with you why I created this, because this part matters.
I created this because I deeply understand the reasons we don’t ask for help.
I know what it’s like to think:
-
“I should be able to handle this on my own.”
-
I should be able to figure this out.
-
“I don’t have time to talk to someone.”
-
“I can’t spend money on myself right now.”
-
“Other people have it harder — I should just be grateful.”
And those thoughts keep us carrying so much alone.
And maybe that’s you too.
Not falling apart.
Just overwhelmed.
Just tired.
Just… quietly hurting.
I know there are so many people out there not getting the help they need, so I asked myself:
What if I removed the two biggest barriers — time and money?
What if I created support that didn’t require a call or a calendar slot or rearranging your life?
And that’s what led me to this.
Which leads me into why email coaching works.
A coaching call can be overwhelming for a lot of us.
There’s the logistics — finding a time that works, getting someone to watch the kids, trying to make sure you’re fully present and not distracted. And even though no one needs to be “camera ready,” for many of us, getting on Zoom can feel intimidating, some of us feel like we need to “perform” like we need to get ready, put make up on, and this all just takes extra time that so many of us quite honestly just don’t have.
And here’s something interesting — there is actual psychological research showing that it’s harder to open up emotionally when you’re looking someone in the eye.
When we’re face-to-face, we instinctively scan for micro-reactions:
-
Do they think I’m overreacting?
-
Do I sound dramatic?
-
Do I sound dumb?
-
Do I make sense?
-
Am I being too much?
Our brains get busy managing how we are being perceived instead of simply expressing what’s true.
But when you write —everything slows down. You get to put your thoughts into words privately, without any pressure, and something shifts.
Psychologists call this the Online Disinhibition Effect.
Without that immediate face-to-face pressure, we naturally feel safer to be honest. We’re less self-conscious and our guard lowers.
And along with that, research from Dr. James Pennebaker at the University of Texas shows that writing about your feelings actually helps you process them. Writing gives you space. It slows your thoughts down just enough so you can see what’s really going on, instead of getting swept up in the overwhelm.
Our minds move fast — we think somewhere around 60,000 thoughts a day. The mental chatter can feel nonstop. When you write, you step out of that swirl. You move from being inside the rush of your thoughts to becoming the observer of them. And when you can observe your own mind, you’re in a much better position to understand yourself, your reactions, and what you truly need. From there, problem-solving becomes easier. Relief becomes possible. You feel more grounded, clear, and capable. Think of it like a difficult math problem, it’s much easier to solve when you write it out as opposed to trying to figure it out in your head.
That’s why email coaching works.
It creates a gentle space — one where you can open up at your pace, in your own words, in the moments when your heart is ready.
I think what is probably the greatest benefit of email coaching, though, is the fact that it can be done when it is convenient for you.
You can write:
-
in the car line
-
during nap time
-
at 11PM when everything finally gets quiet
-
Or even in the bathroom when you need five minutes!
And then I respond when I can be fully present — which is actually another reason I created email coaching. Yes, part of it is simply that my schedule is limited. But there’s more to it than that.
I started to notice something with my one-on-one sessions: my best insights often arrived after the call was over. Once the pressure of being face to face lifted, it was like my mind and intuition had space to breathe. I’d suddenly see the situation more clearly — a new angle, a deeper understanding, a more helpful perspective. And I would find myself emailing clients afterward with those reflections.
Email coaching lets that clarity be the coaching.
It gives me the space to think deeply, reflect fully, and respond thoughtfully — not rushed, not reactive, but truly tuned in.
So if you’re wondering what It Actually Looks Like
Here’s how it works:
You sign up.
You get a welcome email.
And when something is weighing on you — you reply.
You write freely.
You don’t have to sound “put together.”
You don’t have to have the right words.
You just share what’s true.
And I respond with:
-
support
-
gentle reflection
-
coaching questions designed to help you find solutions
-
reframing
-
and actual, real encouragement rooted in presence.
It’s not rushed.
It’s not formulaic.
It’s not surface-level.
It’s real connection — in a form that is actually doable.
So now I want to talk about who this is really for.
This is for the mom who feels overwhelmed — not because she’s doing something wrong, but because she’s carrying so much.
If you want support, but the idea of adding another appointment, another Zoom link, another thing to juggle just feels like too much.
This is for you if you crave being understood and supported — without needing to prove you're strong first.
Without needing to put on makeup, or hold it together, or pretend.
You don’t have to be in crisis to get support.
You don’t have to earn it.
You don’t have to justify it.
You get to have help simply because you deserve to feel supported in your life.
This is for you if you feel like your emotional load is heavy.
If you find yourself feeling indecisive — like you don’t even know what you want anymore, just that something feels off.
Maybe you’re craving growth.
Maybe you want to uplevel your life.
Maybe you want to set goals and actually follow through — but you don’t even know where to start because everything just feels like a jumbled mess in your mind.
Maybe you’ve noticed yourself over-scrolling, overeating, overspending, or over-drinking — not because you don’t know better, but because it’s become your escape.
But the escape is costing you.
Time. Presence. Peace. Maybe even connection with your kids or partner.
This is for you if you struggle with anxiety, insecurity, or self-doubt — and you’re tired of feeling like you’re always second-guessing yourself.
If you want to stop procrastinating.
If you want to feel more patient and present with your kids.
If you want your home to feel calmer.
If you want to improve your relationships — yes, even if the other person never changes. (Because truly — one person shifting their energy can change the whole dynamic.)
This is for you if you just want to feel better — emotionally, mentally, spiritually — and you’re ready to do the inner work… even if your steps are small.
And you don’t have to prove anything to deserve that support.
You don’t have to be in crisis.
You don’t have to “earn” it.
You don’t need to justify needing help.
You get support because you deserve to feel held, supported, and guided in your life.
Now, I know those are big promises — and I want to be honest with you.
It is possible for you to feel better, to shift your patterns, to create change.
But it does require something from you.
You have to be willing to show up for yourself.
You have to be willing to be honest — not with me, but with you.
You have to be willing to stay open, even when it feels uncomfortable.
The work itself isn’t complicated — but it’s not always easy.
Because slowing down enough to really hear yourself can feel unfamiliar.
But something remarkable happens when you create just a little space.
When you pause.
When you give yourself a moment of quiet.
When you allow yourself to become aware of your thoughts and question them, rather than simply react to them.
That’s where your intuition has room to speak.
Where clarity begins to form.
Where you start to feel grounded again.
And you won’t be doing this alone.
You’ll have someone trained to see your patterns, to help you make meaning of your emotions, to reflect your life back to you gently and without judgment.
Someone who can say, “Here’s another way to look at this,” and suddenly — something clicks.
That’s the opening. That’s where transformation begins.
And with that, I want to also be clear about who this is not for…
This is not for someone who needs an immediate response. Email coaching isn’t live chat. You’ll receive thoughtful replies within 1–2 business days.
This is not for someone who deeply needs face-to-face connection in order to feel safe opening up — if that’s you, live sessions may be a better fit.
And this is not for someone who wants quick advice without reflection. This process works because you're willing to slow down, explore your thoughts, and be open to new possibilities.
So if something in your chest softened a little while you were listening…
If you felt seen…
If a part of you whispered,
“Maybe this is what I’ve been needing…”
Follow that.
It’s free right now.
There’s no commitment.
Just space for you.
The link is in the show notes — or you can simply reply to my email if you’re already on my list.
I would be honored to walk with you.
